CASK stores your workspace on your computer. That gives you direct control over the records you use for compliance work. It does not mean every feature operates without a network connection.
The useful question is where each type of information goes.
Your workspace stays on your device
Policies, assessments, evidence, and drafts live in your CASK workspace. You can work with these records in the desktop app and export approved documents for others to review.
You remain responsible for protecting the device and keeping suitable backups. Use your organization’s approved approach to access, encryption, and recovery.
Your choice of AI changes the data flow
When you connect a cloud AI provider, CASK sends the content needed for your request directly to that provider using your account. That processing is governed by the provider’s terms and your settings.
A local model processes requests on the machine where you run it. This can keep model processing local, but it does not make account services, updates, diagnostics, or connected tools disappear. Review each connection before using sensitive information.

Desktop storage is one part of privacy
Truvara does not use your workspace content to train AI models. CASK does collect diagnostic and usage data, while account and licensing services handle the information needed to provide access. The privacy policy explains these categories.
A desktop workspace can reduce the need to store working documents in another hosted application. It does not remove the need to assess providers, protect the device, or follow your organization’s information-handling rules.
How this fits the work
CASK brings source records and proposed edits together. The agent helps prepare the draft, and you check the sources before approving it. Data control and human review support the same goal: useful AI assistance that you can inspect.
Can my team collaborate?
You can share approved exports from CASK. Shared editing and review are planned for CASK Pro. Discuss current availability and data-handling requirements with us before relying on planned features.
Can Truvara work with our sensitive records?
For services, we agree access, data handling, and responsibilities as part of the engagement. The arrangement depends on the scope and your requirements.
